"The Princess and The Frog" at King Park
Parks, Recreation & Marine's Movie will screen the movie "The Princess and the Frog," tonight at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 1950 Lemon Avenue. The movie will begin about 8 p.m. The successful summer "Movies in the Park" series was sponsored by Signal Hill Petroleum. Free movies were shown in 28 parks and brought families and friends together for a great evening's worth of entertainment.

Sound FX at Chavez Park
This summer’s free Thursday Night Concert in the Parks series will conclude with an appearance by Sound FX at Chavez Park on September 2 at 6 p.m. Sound FX entertains with diverse song stylings including contemporary dance music and music from the 40's to the 90's including Salsa, Disco, Funk, Hip Hop, Swing, Cha Cha, Jazz Standards, and Reggae.
